Events at the Sanctuary

Free and benefit gatherings throughout the year — open to the public.


Although the sanctuary is generally open by appointment only during this restoration period, we welcome the public to a number of seasonal events. Please call (541) 500-7611 to confirm dates and details.

Spring & Summer

First Annual Open House & Land Blessing

Sunday, June 14, 2026 — 2:00 to 5:00 PM

Family fun with picnic, playground, nature tables, and live music. The land will be blessed by Karuk Elder Rev. Lynn Fritz and other invited blessers, including Senator Jeff Golden, Rabbi Rachel of the Havurah, Ashland; Mahkosazana Fletcher of the Bahá’í faith; Bishop Anya Kumara of the Mary Magdalen tradition; and a local Buddhist representative.

Dogwood Springtime Daze Walk

Spring (date forthcoming)

A celebration of the Pacific dogwoods in bloom along Indian Creek.

Tree Planting Weekends

Spring and Autumn — by sign-up

We hold tree-planting weekends during the spring and autumn planting seasons to plant reserved trees. Wildflower seed planting takes place in the spring with volunteer support.

Candlelight Sequoia Walk & Memorial Evening

Early December — Benefit event

An evening walk along the Sequoia Walkway with candlelight and remembrance.

Colestin GRIEF Comfort Christmas Memorial Walk & Café

Mid-December — Free event

A community gathering for those grieving during the holiday season.

Candlemas Candlelighting Remembrance Campfire

February — Free event

A simple campfire gathering to honor those who have passed and welcome the early light of the new year.

Founder’s Walk

The Founder’s Walk event invites the public to walk through the groves, ending at a viewpoint on the hilltop with views of the Klamath-Siskiyou mountain range, Pilot Rock, and Mt. Shasta through the trees. Date forthcoming.
