HOME RESERVATIONS & DONATIONS THE SANCTUARY AND THE LAND WHO WE ARE EVENTS CONTACT US PRIVACY POLICY
Plan ahead, support restoration, and create a living legacy.
Important: Tree and meadow reservations are limited. If you wish to have a natural burial now or in the future, please contact us several months or even years in advance to secure your spot — the natural home funeral and burial process requires expert planning. Call (541) 500-7611 to begin.
Burial Options
Meadow Burial

A simple, affordable burial in our restored wildflower meadow. Wildflower seeds are scattered over the plot mound in autumn or spring depending on species.
Oak Tree Plot

Burial with a native oak — Black Oak, White Oak, or Madrone — planted graveside. Located in the woodland, a family plot, or a specified grove (Jewish Grove, Unity Grove).
Founder’s Walk Tree
$5,000
Pacific Dogwood, Mountain Sequoia, or Oregon Sugar Pine — planted in the Sequoia Tree Walkway along Indian Creek. These trees require additional irrigation and maintenance.
Family & Couple Plots
- Tribute Tree (with or without cremains): $3,000 or $5,000
- Couple’s burial (two adjacent oak plots): $6,000
- Family of four (four Founder’s Walk trees, discounted): $16,000
- Custom grove: by special request
All donors of $6,000 or more are recognized as Founding Donors on a plaque at the Sanctuary. Trees are planted in Ocober/November as part of the larger restoration project.
Each reservation includes a Lifetime Membership with access to our future Loop Trail.
Tax Deductibility
The Friends of Cathedral Trees Sanctuary (EIN 84-3169866) is registered with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(2) public-service organization. Reservations and donations are tax-deductible.
Plot reservers and donors can receive a federal tax deduction usable one time over the following five years. (Note: this does not allow five separate deductions.) If you have a Required Minimum Distribution from a 401(k) account that would otherwise be taxable, you can convert it into a tax deduction by donating cash or securities directly to our Charles Schwab account.
We are happy to speak with your tax advisor or accountant.

Where Your Donation Goes
We are currently raising funds for road repair, large signage, a trailer, a utility vehicle, and a four-season cedar pagoda for families during inclement weather.
As thanks: three donations of $3,000 — or two donations of a $5,000 large tree plot — fund basic road repairs. The Friends of Cathedral Trees Sanctuary will gift you a free tree and plot for each qualifying donation.
Existing Cremation Plans
If you already have a cremation package, our Vice President Michael Murphy, CFA, can help you transfer it to a non-mercury-polluting natural deathcare reservation with the Friends of Cathedral Trees Sanctuary. Call (541) 500-7611.
